As we enter the home stretch of the 2016-17 school year at KIPP: Tech Valley Charter School, I wanted to take a moment to encourage our Kippsters to FINISH STRONG! Each of you has been working exceptionally hard over the past 9 plus months. The finish line is now in sight. It is hard to believe that next month marks the end of the 5th interval and the close of yet another academic year at KTV. With only a month or so to go, I encourage you to step up your game to power through to the finish. Remember what we said from day one back in August, "It is not about where you come from, but it is about where you are going...It is not about how you start, but about how you finish."
We have a lot to look forward to as a KIPP team and family over the next few weeks including our final fun Friday events, our grand finale Saturday School (Field Day), the Kippster Choice Awards, and the end of the year trips. You got this and we are here to support you. Know that you will be feeling good ending the year on a positive note. Finally, for you seniors (grade 8 students), enjoy the last weeks rocking the KIPP crest on your uniform shirts. Enjoy the days with your teacher leaders and fellow Kippsters. Remember, you are leaving behind a legacy. This is not the end, but one step closer to fulfilling your goal in living out the KTV mission that "Every KIPP Tech Valley student will acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and character habits necessary to succeed in high school, college, and beyond." Once a Kippster, always a Kippster. We are here for you and know the next step of your journey will be a positive one! Finish strong!
